AMD’sRyzen 9000(codenamed Granite Ridge) series, among thebest CPUs, has dropped to its lowest-ever prices at Micro Center—listed for up to 28% lower than their launch prices, which should increase AM5 adoption rates. The market initially ignored Zen 5 at launch owing to lackluster gains in performance value and the lack of an incentive for existing AM5 owners. AMD’s 96-core Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9995WX reportedly scored 173,452 points in the multi-core Cinebench R23 benchmark, which is around 73% higher compared to100,291 points scored by its predecessor, the 96-core Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7995WX. Chiphell does not disclose specifications of the testbed it or its source used, so we have no idea whether the processor was cooled using a stock cooling system, or something more extreme....

Although TSMC’s Fab 21 phase 1 near Phoenix, Arizona, is officially set to start mass production of chips sometime in 2025, the facility is already making processors for the foundry’s biggest client, Apple, according to a report byTim Culpan.
